Spider® - Fiat Motorhome 3.0 157ps 2008 Model
Nick,
Got the box and fitted it easily. Some feedback on the Fiat experience, albeit over only a relatively short
distance so far.
1. The engine is much smoother and has lost most of that commercial van sound at low revs - really happy with this
as the overall refinement has improved.
2. Response from low revs is improved, even tho' it was good on standard tune.
3. Torque, as you would expect is vastly improved, even tho' good on standard tune. 5th gear is never
used on hills.
4. Despite cruising at around 10 mph higher (65 as opposed to 55) economy is improved about 15%.
Just heading off for a good trial over the next 3 weeks into the Highlands of Scotland and if you don't mind I will let
you know the mpg outcome over this test. Before fitting the Spider, I was getting around 24mpg overall.
