Spider® - BMW 123D

Dear Spider,

Just thought I would take the time and effort to offer some feedback on my experiences so far with my transformed, lucid and uber responsive 123! To start with I cannot commend BMW engineers for this cracking 4 pot diesel, in factory guise it is as rapid and handles better than Golf GTI, which is saying plenty as that is a fab motor for the money. However the 123 point refuses do less than 47-48mpg even with a demanding driver, current climate of austerity thats a winner everyday for me.

The Spider really does make this car, dare I say it the best,"all round hot hatch" your green pound can buy. The very minor rough edges in delivery are gone, it kicks its heels like a blown petrol off the line now, and is laugh out loud fast in pretty much any gear when shes rolling past 2500rpm and the second blower cuts in! Smooth, relaxed, effortless and as linear as a petrol 6, without doubt.

Have not noticed any significant improvement in consumption need to take it on a motorway leg stretch soon, and will keep you posted.
